Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what assessment he has made of the effect on the health and welfare of Mrs Narges Mohammadi of her imprisonment in Iran.

We are aware of reports that Mrs Mohammadi is suffering from a serious health condition requiring regular medical treatment not available in prison.
Mrs Mohammadi's case demonstrates Iran's appalling record when it comes to freedom of expression and we call on Iran to cease the harassment and detention of human rights defenders in the country.
