Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what estimate his Department has made of the total amount made available to ring-fenced science and research funding organisations in each of the next five years; and if he will make a statement.

The Department’s revenue budget for research and development funds the National Institute for Health Research and the Department’s Policy Research Programme. Allocations for future years will be subject to the spending review.
