Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what recent assessment she has made of the potential merits of the UK Government repaying the outstanding historical debt owed to Iran.

We continue to explore options to resolve this 40-year old case and will not comment further as discussions are ongoing.
