Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what background checks were carried out on Johnson Kane, the co-founder and chief executive officer of the Education Fellowship Trust, in advance of schools being transferred to that multi-academy trust.

It has not proved possible to respond to the hon. Member in the time available before Prorogation.
