Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what discussions he has had with Health Education England on the level of its baseline cancer workforce; and whether that body has developed a system-wide action plan to address capacity issues.

Working with partner organisations on the National Cancer Transformation Board, including the Department, Health Education England will publish a cancer workforce plan later this year which will set out the future cancer workforce requirements for the National Health Service and what can be done to achieve them.
