Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many heart valve replacement procedures have taken place in the NHS each month since April 2019.

A count of finished consultant episodes (FCEs) where a heart valve replacement procedure has taken place and has an episode end date between April 2019 to April 2020 is attached. Data for 2019-20 are provisional and are a count of FCEs, not the number of patients.
