Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, whether NHS England takes steps to purchase the vaccine for Meningococcal B annually from drug manufacturers in sufficient quantities to ensure value for money; and if he will make a statement.
The Meningococcal B vaccine is not purchased by NHS England on an annual basis. The vaccine is centrally procured by Public Health England on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health. Sufficient volume is procured to meet the requirements of the national programme.
