On 19 June, the International Development Secretary announced an additional £40 million for the humanitarian response in Yemen, bringing the total UK contribution to £55 million for 2015-16. In line with the United Nations Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan, our support provides lifesaving assistance such as medical supplies, water, food and emergency shelter; helps treat severe acute malnutrition; and supports UN work to co-ordinate the humanitarian response.
