Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what the implications for his policies are of the Quality Report from the Care Quality Commission, on BPAS Merseyside, published on 26 January 2017.

This question was answered on 24th March 2017

The Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) inspection report of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) Merseyside identified a number of areas of concern. These concerns are being addressed locally through a joint action plan between BPAS Merseyside, the CQC and Halton Clinical Commissioning Group. The CQC is monitoring the action plan through ongoing engagement with BPAS Merseyside.
