Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, when he expects the next stage of public consultation for Crossrail 2 to take place.

Government is currently reviewing the Crossrail 2 Strategic Outline Business Case it has received from Transport for London and is carefully considering it to ensure it is robust and includes a fair, sustainable and deliverable funding plan. The next steps and timescales for the project, including when the next stage of public consultation will take place, will therefore be decided as part of our consideration of this business case.
