Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what the estimated additional cost is to each household in the Glasgow Local Authority Area renting in the private rented sector affected by the revised benefit cap; and if he will make a statement.

Out of those expected to be affected by the lower benefit cap, the average additional cost per household in the Glasgow Local Authority Area, renting in the private rented sector, is estimated to be an average of £47 per week.

Out of those expected to be affected by the lower benefit cap, the average additional cost per household in the Glasgow Local Authority Area, renting in the social rented sector has been estimated to be an average of £54 per week.
