Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what discussions his Department has had with firms to invite interest to invest in the planned nuclear plant at Moorside; and if he will make a statement.

The UK Government is committed to new nuclear as an important part of the UK’s energy mix, having signed a deal for the first new nuclear power station in a generation. Government continues to work closely with partners as they develop proposals to see Moorside built.
