Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, what forecast he has made of how much of the BBC licence fee will be allocated to broadband rollout by the end of that rollout.

The rollout of superfast broadband is on track and an excellent progress has been made, 40,000 premises are being connected each week. To date £780m has been allocated from the TV licence fee ​to support ​the roll out of superfast ​broadband ​to 95% of homes and businesses in the UK by the end of 2017.
