The Government has created a new Joint Afghanistan Casework Unit (JACU), staffed by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Ministry of Defence and Home Office officials, which is taking forward the UK's commitment to resettle individuals and family members who are confirmed to be eligible. The Unit is still in the process of being set-up. The forecasted annual budget of JACU when it is fully operational is approximately £750,000 per annum.
