The Gambian Presidential elections of 1 December were an orderly exercise in democracy and have been recognised by the international community as free and fair. President-elect Barrow must therefore be allowed to assume authority, without fear of violence or disruption. We look forward to working with the President-elect's new Government and his appointed officials.
