On 12th February 2016 the Government published the consultation Statutory definition of child sexual exploitation, to provide clarity on the definition of child sexual exploitation and to ensure that all professions are using the same definition as they create joint risk assessments and work together to target disruption and investigate offending. The Government has analysed the responses to the consultation on the proposed changes and a revised definition will be published shortly, along with revised guidance for practitioners responding to child sexual exploitation.
