NHS England is currently working with Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) on their plans to improve mental health provision, incorporating priorities from the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health. The 2017/18-2018/19 contracting and operational planning round has strengthened STPs in this respect.

Discussions with local patients, clinicians and communities in individual STP areas will also strengthen these plans over the coming months.
