Question to the Department for International Development:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, whether the Government plans to undertake additional environmental impact assessments ahead of any further construction works required at St Helena airport.

The main construction phase of the St Helena Airport is now complete. There are no plans currently for further construction works. Should that situation change, we would expect the environmental impact of any future works to be fully considered.
