Charities: Minimum Wage

Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, what discussions she has had with HM Revenue and Customs on ensuring that national minimum wage regulations are being properly enforced in the charities sector.

I have regular discussions with colleagues across government on a range of issues, including the effective regulation of charities.

Charity workers have the same wage entitlements as employees in the private and public sectors. Compliance with National Minimum Wage regulations is enforced for Charities in the same way as it is for all other employers.
