Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many personal independence payment claimants have died within six months of receiving their claim.

Between April 2013 and April 2016, 30,300 Personal Independence Payment claimants in Great Britain died within 6 months of first receiving their claim. 77% of those who died were in receipt of PIP under special rules for terminally ill.
