Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, how many civil service apprentices have been appointed by his Department since it was created.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) was formed on 14^th July from the merger of the former Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the former Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC)

Since 14^th July, BEIS has appointed 20 apprentices, and has a further 15 due to start within the next few weeks.
