This question was answered on 14th December 2016

Generally, researchers have tended to investigate whether there is a correlation between physical activity and academic performance (and not inactivity). A systematic review of the literature did conclude that there is a positive long term association with moderate to vigorous physical activity on academic attainment in some subjects.
