Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, with reference to the advice given by the Industrial Injuries Advisory Committee in Command Paper 9247, Extrinsic allergic alveolitis: isocyanates and other occupational causes, published in April 2016, whether he intends to introduce legislative proposals to update the list of prescribed medical conditions.

I can confirm that I have accepted the recommendations of the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council, in respect of their command paper 9247. Regulations to implement these changes are currently being prepared, and are expected to be brought into force during Spring 2017.
