Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, which organisation is responsible for ensuring that the frequency of the electricity grid remains within statutory limits.

The National Energy System Operator (NESO) is responsible for operating the Great Britain electricity system and maintaining system frequency within statutory limits. This responsibility is established through NESO's licence obligations, which are overseen by Ofgem.
