NHS England will be announcing the outcome of this year’s annual specialised commissioning prioritisation round once it has fully considered the implications of the recent Court of Appeal decision on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV, and the impact this might have on those treatments and interventions awaiting prioritisation.

Until then, clinicians can continue to apply for funding on behalf of patients for treatments and interventions awaiting prioritisation, where there is clinically exceptional or clinically critically urgent need.
