Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to the international joint statement on assurances on travel from Afghanistan, released on 29 August 2021, how many travel documents have been issued to designated Afghans by the UK since that date.

Home Office Migration Statistics do not capture the number of travel documents issued to Afghan nationals since 29 August. This would require a manual trawl of data and to do so would incur disproportionate cost.
