Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if she will make an assessment of the potential merits of adding fruit picking to the Shortage Occupation List; and if she will make a statement.

The Shortage Occupation Lists (SOL) are set on the advice of the independent Migration Advisory Committee (MAC). The MAC is currently conducting a review of the SOL with particular reference to jobs which are at RQF levels 3-5 (A-level and above).
