Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if she will list the number of police officers, by rank, employed in each of the four geographic forces in Wales in each of the last 24 months.

The Home Office collects and publishes data biannually on the total number of police officers employed by each police force in England and Wales. These data can be found in the ‘Police workforce, England and Wales’ statistical bulletins.

Detailed data on the number of officers by rank is collected and published on an annual basis only. The statistics for each of the four geographic forces in Wales, representing the picture as at 31 March 2016, can be found in Table_H4 accompanying the main release here:
