Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what proportion of GCSE students studied creative subjects in the last five years.
The Department does not define any particular GCSE subjects as ‘creative’, as many GCSE subjects involve creativity.
A time series of GCSE results in different subjects is published as part of the ‘provisional GCSE and equivalent results in England’ statistical first release (SFR)[1].
