Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what assessment his Department has made of the potential effect on the provision of state aid in the event of the UK reverting to World Trade Organisation terms after the UK has left the EU.

The Government is building a detailed and comprehensive understanding of how withdrawing from the EU will affect our domestic policies. This will enables us to understand the challenges and seize the opportunities, and ensure a smooth process of exit for the UK, including in relation to the provision of state aid.
