The Department for Transport continuously assesses and challenges the information provided to it by HS2 Ltd. Some of this information is factual and some takes the form of advice based on judgement. In assessing this information the Department seeks additional assurance from HS2 Ltd’s internal assurance processes as well as external assurance provided by the National Audit Office, the Infrastructure and Projects Authority and the HS2 Project Representative.
