Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what assessment she has made of potential employment outcomes for T-level students.

The government-commissioned Report of the independent panel on technical education led by Lord Sainsbury studied what successful Technical Education models are in place in other countries. The Department is currently mapping the occupations to be covered by T levels across 15 occupational routes, which will provide a clear picture of the opportunities available to learners.

T levels will equip learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours they will need to meet the expectations of employers, who will be at the heart of the development of the programmes. This will ensure that T levels which are recognised and valued by industry and make students more employable.
