Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what the guidelines are for remuneration of chairs of clinical commissioning group governing bodies.

Clinical commissioning groups are autonomous bodies which are responsible for managing spend as they deem appropriate. However, NHS England has published the guidance Clinical Commissioning Groups: Remuneration guidance for Chief Officers (where the senior manager also undertakes the accountable officer role) and Chief Finance Officers which can be found at this address:
