Equal Pay: Tribunals

Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many equal pay claims accepted by employment tribunals in 2015 had been made against (a) government departments, (b) non-departmental public bodies and (c) local authorities.

There is no significant difference in the success rate of equal pay claims submitted by men and women in 2015. The numbers and the percentage of claims which were successful in 2015 are set out in the table below.

Data on the number of equal pay claims made against the type of respondents are not collated centrally by HM Courts & Tribunals Service. This information could only be provided at a disproportionate cost by manually checking hard copy files or judgments.
