Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what changes will be made to rail services between Chesterfield and London if High Speed Two is completed.

This question was answered on 9th January 2020

As currently planned, Chesterfield will receive HS2 services. Decisions on the national rail timetable are yet to be taken and it would be inappropriate to try to set a timetable for services on the existing railway this far ahead of their adoption.

Decisions will be taken in consultation with Network Rail and the Train Operating Companies.
