Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, if she will issue guidance to registered providers on varying historic shared ownership leases with restricted staircasing to permit staircasing to 100 per cent, subject to a repurchase or nomination provision.

Existing guidance on the arrangements for grant-funded Shared Ownership homes in Designated Protected Areas (DPA), including the process for seeking a waiver of the relevant grant conditions, is available on gov.uk here. Under this process, an application must be submitted to Homes England by the relevant local authority.
