Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, when she plans to bring forward the further necessary commencement order under the Animal Welfare (Import of Dogs, Cats and Ferrets) Act 2025.

Defra are committed to implementing measures to end puppy smuggling as soon as is practicable. The department will communicate a timeline in due course.
