To ask the Right hon. Member for Kenilworth and Southam, representing the Speaker's Committee on the Electoral Commission, whether the Electoral Commission’s review into party campaign spending and candidate spending limits will also review the financial thresholds for the reporting of invoices in party campaign spending returns.

The Commission has written to political parties to seek their initial views on key aspects of the wider regulatory framework that interact with spending limits and may impact how the spending limits operate in practice.

The Commission will consider the interactions between these areas and spending limits – informed by the experiences of political parties, independent candidates and third-party campaigners – to ensure that the review takes a system-wide view of campaign spending across the UK.
