Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, further to the answer of 18 September 2026, to Question HL3257, on Tower Hamlets, whether the Best Value inspection by the Ministerial Envoys is considering the (a) awarding and (b) reduction of grants by the mayor to community organisations, including the reductions to the Half Moon Theatre in Stepney.

As part of the strengthened intervention package set out in the Directions on 17 March 2026, the Ministerial Envoys are undertaking thematic deep dive projects to provide assurance in relation to long-standing concerns. This includes the allocation of resources for community assets and community grants.
