Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, how many local authorities have closed or paused applications for Warm Homes: Local Grant funding in the 2026–27 financial year due to budget constraints.

While the Department provides the funding for the Warm Homes: Local Grant, the scheme is administered locally by Grant Recipients. Decisions on managing individual funding allocations, including whether to introduce waiting lists or pause applications, are therefore taken locally.

As administrators of the scheme, your local authority remains best placed to provide updates on allocations of WH:LG funding in their region, including closed or paused WH:LG applications.
