Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, pursuant to the answer of 8 September 2026, to Question 20242, on Parking: Fees and Charges, if she will make it her policy to commission research into the use of surge parking fees and the potential effect on the viability of high streets and town centres.

The Government has no plans to commission specific research into surge parking fees at this time.
