To ask the Right hon. Member for Kenilworth and Southam, representing the Speaker's Committee on the Electoral Commission, in the context of the Channel 4 News report on Reform UK’s party political donations of 4 September 2026, what consideration has the Commission made of using its inspection and information powers under Schedule 19B of the Political Parties Elections and Referendum Act 2000.

The Metropolitan Police has made a statement on its ongoing investigation, and the Commission is considering all relevant information and regulatory steps. It cannot comment any further while these enquiries are underway.
