To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, pursuant to the answer of 10 September 2026, to Question 21139, on Independent Football Regulator: Public Appointments, whether special advisers had a role in the consultation process between her Department and No10.

Special advisers supported Ministers in the usual way throughout this appointment process. All final decisions are taken by Ministers in line with the Governance Code on Public Appointments.
