Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps she is taking to encourage workers in Turkey to take-up places under the Seasonal Worker Scheme in the UK.

The Seasonal Worker visa route enables overseas workers to undertake highly seasonal, manual tasks in the horticulture and poultry sectors. These workers are sponsored by 6 licensed businesses, known as Operators. Where the Operators select their workers from is a commercial decision.
