The Commission provides guidance to regulated donees on staffing donations. It sets out circumstances where an individual works for a regulated donee but their salary is paid by someone else. When this happens, the value of the work is a donation. The guidance sets out how the value of this donation is determined – which depends on whether the services provided are what the employer is in business to provide (such as IT services or consultancy work).
