The Prime Minister has announced we are working on a new National Centre for Information Defence to transform the UK’s capabilities for detecting, attributing and disrupting information attacks from foreign adversaries, to support and defend our democracy and national security.

By contrast, the NCSC is the UK’s national technical authority for cyber security. It is the authoritative voice on technical cyber security and threat assessment, providing expert advice and guidance. We expect that the two organisations will work closely together.
