To ask the Right hon. Member for Kenilworth and Southam, representing the Speaker's Committee on the Electoral Commission, pursuant to the Answer of 7 September 2026 to Question 21243, on Members’ Interest, if the Electoral Commission will make it their policy to ensure there is greater clarity and transparency on its public registers between (a) political donations and (b) sponsorship donations.

Once live, the Commission’s new Political Finance Online system will provide more transparency and make it easier for users to identify the different types of donations, including those that are sponsorship.

In the meantime, the Commission will add explanatory notes to sponsorship donations when publishing updates to the register. This will provide important context for voters.
