Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, which (a) organisations and (b) individuals have the power to dismiss the governing body of a clinical commissioning group.

NHS England is able to dismiss the governing body of a clinical commissioning group (CCG). It has formal powers of direction if it is satisfied that a CCG is failing or is at risk of failing to discharge its functions.
