Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what recent assessment she has made of the political situation in Botswana.

Botswana is a stable democracy which has a strong record of respect for presidential term limits and peaceful transfers of power. The Botswana Democratic Party has been in government since independence in 1966. The next election will take place in 2024.
