Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, if he will state the places which ranked highest for atrocity risks in the Global Conflict, Instability and Atrocity Risk Assessments, produced by the Office for Conflict, Stabilisation and Mediation, broken down by each report produced since 2023.
The Global Conflict, Instability and Atrocity Risk Assessments are internal analytical products used by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) to support policy development, programme planning and prioritisation.
To protect sensitive information and ensure the effectiveness of our work, we do not routinely publish these assessments or country-level rankings. In some contexts, effective conflict and atrocity prevention requires discreet engagement with governments, partners and communities, and public disclosure of internal assessments could undermine these efforts.
The FCDO regularly reports to Parliament on situations of concern and remains committed to monitoring and assessing atrocity risks globally.
